I have some exciting news tonight! British comedian Russell Brand, who is best known for his roles in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Penelope, is hosting the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. He is not as well knows as previous hosts, which include P.Diddy, Chris Rock and Jack Black, and it may come as a surprise to some.

I think this is a GREAT choice! This guy cracks me up and imagining him hosting the awards makes me want to watch them even more.

The VMA’s will air live from Los Angeles on September 7th. You will definitely want to tune in and see what Brand may have planned. I imagine it’s going to be something hilarious. Can’t wait!!
